UCC to Shut-down social media...? no they can't

The Uganda Communications Commission has threatened to shut down social media sites over misuse by the public. We normally hear such stuff around…don’t we. We never see any actions though.
And this is in relation to the videos; you know the videos I’m talking about…..if you don’t, then just get yourself a smart phone. Trust me, you need one. Everyone seems to have seen them, all of them, and we all know what that means to the future of our society. Not good at all. Everyone, young and old, has a smart phone these days, just about everyone.
Have these UCC guys really watched the videos??? Do they really hate them that much??? If so, then what do they hate about them, maybe we can do better next time.
Think about life without social media, no more whatsapp mid-night conversations, anonymous facebook chats, and most annoying and disturbing no more “music” videos.
But there’s always a way out, we could use our emails, and UCC will have no right to block them. Be carefull not to carbon copy Fr. Lok though, he doesn’t like SPAM mails, we all don’t.

I either get married...or suicide

A 29-year-old woman whose greatest wish was to 'settle down and get married' killed herself after becoming troubled that she was approaching 30 unmarried and childless.


Ehhhhhhh, kyo yamaawe, yet another reason to worry. I’m not married either, and I’m not so far away from 30. What does that mean to you? Munange, think about marrying, you will have saved a life, or two (yours inclusive), and “moslem” you should save three more.
An inquest was told Miss Gow had been an 'outgoing, adventurous and loving' young woman who had attained a 2:1 in History from Lancaster University before working at Royal Bolton Hospital….she wasn’t that bad, she didn’t deserve that.
If you are for some reason(s) in the same situation…..i mean not married, and 30 or just getting to 30, there’s no need for that, there’s thousands of “single” and searching men out there. Be carefull though, you might get yourself someone to kill you….but I think that’s a little better than killing yourself. And if for some reason you can’t find one, then I advise you pray, pray hard sister, pray…..try Kakande, trust me it works, well people say it does.
Or make some money and adopt, not a kid or dog this time,….adopt someone, there’s mob desperate guys in the world. You have an advantage if you are white, and my black sister, you need a lot of cash. And I mean a lot.

Enemployment kills....Do something

Around 45,000 suicides each year are attributable to unemployment, according to a survey of 63 countries published in The Lancet Psychiatry. Health watchdogs should regard unemployment as
Now if one of your close relatives and/or friends is unemployed (of course there has to be one, ), there’s big reason to worry for them. Watch over them, keep them safe, we shouldn’t lose any more lives to unemployment…..we’ve lost much already, we’ve lost many professionals to music (ok maybe not entirely)
And if u are unemployed yourself, then think twice……stay away from dangerous equipment and technically anything you could use to take your life. Keep your room free of pangas, axes, hammers, 1990 IBM  computers, and any poisonous substance….just throw them away (I mean far away), and try to forget where you throw them (just in case)
Meanwhile think of applying in as many places as you can, check out all the “job” websites every morning, …or maybe check out www.blogspot.com , and just like me, start blogging. There’s always time to blog….i’m not even sure you read this far, but my blogging life goes on.
Several people have advised agriculture these days, maybe you should think about it…..i’m not sure you have land, but maybe you know someone who has.

Stop starving your spouses.....Just stop

1.       Karooro said failure by some partners to fulfill their obligations in marriage has fuelled cases of domestic violence. “How do you leave your partner to starve (sexually)?” Karooro wonders. “….unless one is sick.”

Karooro was addressing different women groups at Rwenjeru Church of Uganda (I repeat …….at Rwenjeru “CHURCH” of Uganda), at Nyakabirizi division offices and at Bumbeire sub county headquarters respectively.

Karooro said that denying men sex has fuelled conflicts in families, an issue she said has resulted in murders.

“It has been discovered that some women and men have forgotten what led them to live together and as a result they no longer respect the vows they made,” she noted.

A man identified as John Rwamajungu in Bushenyi town recently murdered his wife before he handed himself over to the Police. “It is a shame and sad to see couples who have been married for over 20 years, conflicting over minor issues.” Karoro continued

“Let us use the freedoms to develop our homes by putting in place strategies which can increase our household incomes…….the government concentrated more on women’s issues but we have come to realize that some men are suffering silently and we cannot keep quiet.”

We just cannot keep quiet…….make some noise for Karoro, you deserve those  6 Hipipo awards.

Landlord beats tennant to death?? who should beat who..?

Ehhhh? Yet another reason to be scared and alert. Poor me had not yet paid rent, which explains my worry…..you probably for the same reason feel the same way. …..you haven’t paid rent, you probably not even sure you will, stay safe brother, protect yourself (try karate school)…..or maybe keep something you could use at home, or just like me, in your room, that’s if your room, unlike mine, is spacious enough. But there should be anough space for a panga, hammer, axe, or something like one of them…..don’t use your  nice “expensive” cups and glasses in a fight, use that 1990 IBM or DELL instead. You are unlucky if you landlord has one, he might want to fight back.

Atte namwe ba landlord mutuleke, naffe sente tunonya bunonya……ebintu sibyangu, we all know January is not easy, everyone know that, everyone says that (even the unemployed)…..i mean how does January have to do with someone like me……Ugandans won’t pay you for blogging, that’s why sometimes I stop typing, wonder why I still blog, and then start again.

I suggest you speak to your landlord about this, and if you suspect that he doesn’t understand, try the Mohammed Ali tactic (scare him). Tell them (you are certainly lucky if your landlord is a she) how the last person you beat disappeared and has never been seen again, and tell them it was a mukiga,…… tell them your ancestry is Ibanda or Bunyaruguru, Bushenyi .

On a serious note though, pay rent my brother, just pay. You don’t want to lose your life to the landlord’s beating, your girlfriend doesn’t want to lose you either.
